We had to go to JC Penney's to pick it up, which we were a little worried about. Mostly, we were worried about how much it would weigh and whether I'd be able to help Mike get it up the stairs. We didn't even consider that it might not fit into the CR-V...
The JC Penney lady rolled out the dresser... and it was in a HUGE box. We got the dresser outside and she and Mike tried to shove it into the CR-V, but it was way too big. So, in the middle of the road in front of the store, we cut down the box and loaded the dresser in sans box, which worked perfectly and actually made it a lot easier to handle and carry.
AND, it wasn't too heavy at all, so we were fairly easily able to get it upstairs on our own (with many breaks involved, just to be safe). It came without a single scratch or dent, and I LOVE it:
It's very sturdy and a really good quality, so I think it will last for many years. And it matches the crib perfectly (phew!), and I even noticed that the detailing on both pieces is very similar. Here's the top of the dresser:
And the top of the crib:
It has the same sort of lip on the edges! It almost looks like they're a set.
A side view, when you walk in the room:
Of course, once we got it in the room and Mike got the knobs on, there was something I had to do. I'd been so excited for this part... filling it with baby clothes!! I didn't waste any time:
very pretty
