*How I'm feeling: Ok, I'm officially uncomfortable. It was bound to happen. It's not too bad yet, but the long summer days at work (I'm on a 10-hour, 4-day shift for the rest of this month) are starting to grind on me. By the end of the day, my back is aching and I'm restless. I've always had a problem with restlessness, and pregnancy has really elevated that. I do tend to feel better on the days that I exercise, so I'm keeping up with that.
*Physical differences from last week: Not a whole lot. The belly is a little bigger, and it feels like the little guy gets lower and lower every week. I found out at my doctor's appointment on Friday that he is head-down (good boy!). He could still flip around since it's pretty early in the third trimester, but for now, he's right where he should be. I can actually feel the pressure of his head down low, and all his kicks are up high, at my right rib cage.
*What's been on my mind: We've been knocking out our "to do" list like rock stars. In the past week, we've gotten our wills taken care of, signed up for an infant cpr/first aid class, and set up a tour with the daycare we are interested in. Over the weekend, I did approximately 85 more loads of baby laundry (you can actually see some of it piled on the back of the couch in the second picture below), and Mike put together the pack n' play:
*What I'm looking forward to: BABY SHOWER!!! Just five more days! Can'twaitcan'twaitcan'twait. :)
*Other random thoughts: I've finally reached the stage that my sister-in-law warned me about: the point at which I drop something on the floor, sigh, and stare at it for a moment, as I ponder whether it's worth bending over to pick up. If I decide I must retrieve it, much grunting ensues.

I swear the belly gets cuter every week!
ReplyDeleteYou are in the home stretch! 10 weeks or less!
I certainly do remember those days at work when i would drop a pen or a coin....it either had to be a really good pen, or at least a quarter, or i wasn't going down for it. lol.
