24 weeks

*The baby is now ... 1 pound, six ounces. The size of a standard letter.

How I'm feeling: Pretty good. Getting a little more uncomfortable, particularly if I'm sitting in one position for a long time, but overall I am loving my bump, loving feeling the little guy move all the time and loving that strangers can tell I'm pregnant.

*Physical differences from last week: I had what felt like a major growth spurt over night one day last week, and I spent the rest of the week trying to get used to the new size. I was really short of breath for a day or two after it happened, but I've adjusted now and all is well!

*What's been on my mind: I've been focused lately on non-material ways to get ready for Ryan's arrival. I made an appointment with a pediatrician for next month. This doctor was recommended to us, so hopefully we'll click well with him and won't have to look any further. We've also been figuring out which health insurance to add him to, and I want to make an appointment soon to tour the daycare facility we think we'll be using.

*What I'm looking forward to: My friend Kelly told me she wants to throw me a small baby shower later this summer for my Phoenix friends! Since I can't go home for a shower (why are flights so expensive?!), it's really sweet of her to throw one here. And knowing her, it will be very casual and laid back, which is perfect.

*Other random thoughts: We got our pack 'n play and high chair this weekend, and I officially think the little guy has more "stuff" than we do! Right now they're sitting in their boxes in our dining room, but I'll post pictures as soon as my wonderful husband gets it all put together. :)
