*How I'm feeling: Like a big ol' pregnant lady. ;) Well, as I blogged about before, I've been having lots of Braxton Hicks contractions. But other than my feet being tired and/or sore a lot, I'm still doing pretty well. I spend most of my day walking back and forth to the bathroom. But all the walking is good, right?
*Physical differences from last week: Get low, get low, get loooow! I've been singing that since Friday, when the little guy dropped. I actually know exactly when he dropped, which is super weird. I had some stronger, more painful Braxton Hicks contractions for about 2 hours straight, without any relief. I got home from work, propped my feet up, drank lots of water and called the on-call midwife to make sure what I was feeling was still normal (it was). When Mike got home from work and the contractions eased up, I stood up, and whoa. Baby got low! I could feel a lot of lower pressure and just knew he was in a new position. I looked in the mirror, and it was very obvious to both of us: the rhino dropped.
It's a bit of a relief, because he hadn't seemed interested lately in going head down and staying head down. He seemed to enjoy rolling and somersaulting into any position he could conjure up. But if he hadn't been head-down at today's appointment, they would have made me to go one of the OBs at the hospital so they could try to move him into position (otherwise they'd most likely start talking c-section). They have to do that between 35 and 37 weeks, before he gets too big to move (but after he's big enough that he's likely to stay put once they move him). I don't know about you, but that process doesn't sound like it would be a fun time, so I was really hoping he'd make the move on his own, and he did, just in time. Such a good boy.
The dropping isn't as noticeable in this week's picture, which was taken Saturday morning. He moved back up a bit, I guess. And the low, pressure feeling sort of comes and goes. But overall, I think he's settling in.
*What's been on my mind: Packing the hospital bag! Finishing up some projects around the condo! (More on both of those topics in upcoming posts.)
*What I'm looking forward to: FIVE DAYS until I'm full term! As of Saturday morning, I will officially be ok with him coming whenever he would like.
*Other random thoughts: Baby dropping = new center of gravity = difficulty walking. I think Mike finds this to be rather amusing.

haha @ the last part! he is definately lower!
