It's the little things ...

Tomorrow is my due date. In case you weren't aware.

At this point, I have decided that although I am huge and uncomfortable and in pain about 75 percent of the time with these darned false contractions, I need to find joy in the little things.

So here is what is making me happy today:

1. Starbuck's pumpkin spice lattes. They are pure joy. I wonder if I've earned the right to drink one a day from now until the end of the pregnancy... maybe all the extra caffeine will get the little guy all wired and he'll pop right out?

2. The weather. It broke for a couple of days and then got killer hot again for about a week. But it has broken again and the past two days have been nothing short of GLORIOUS. High 90s during day and into the SEVENTIES at night. It's a thing of beauty. We're supposed to get back into the low hundreds again all next week, but the end is in sight.

3. Football. Every time I make it through another week with no baby, I tell myself, "Well, at least I can watch the *Penn State/Browns/Eagles* game this weekend."

4. Pedicures. Azul Spa has my name written all over it this weekend. At least when I finally do give birth, I'll have pretty toes.

5. My awesome husband, who bought me flowers this week. I love being married to someone who I can go out with on a Wednesday night after we've both had awful days, and we can moan and complain about all of humanity for an hour before deciding that we need to turn things around and have fun ... and realizing that the annoying group of men next to us and the horrible service we're getting from two different waitresses are, in fact, rather comical.
