*How I'm feeling: Still good! Not a whole lot to report. It's getting harder to get up off the floor or crouch down to pick things up, but that's to be expected!
*Physical differences from last week: Nothing much. I had a growth spurt around the middle of the week, and haven't changed much since then. I think my growth has slowed a bit (thank GOD).
*What's been on my mind: Holymotherofgodthisbabyiscominginlessthanthreemonthsandthereissomuchtodo!!!
I suddenly realized this week that we still have a lot to do and our weekends are quickly booking up and leaving us less time to do it. Since we returned from our amazing babymoon, we've started tackling more tasks. We got the (brand new) carpet in the nursery steam cleaned, thanks to a certain cat who seems to be a tad anxious about the arrival of a new family member (I have had a talk with her about how she really needs to get a part time job and start contributing to the household, but she seems unconcerned about it). I also finally went out and bought a couple more pairs of capri sweatpants for sleeping, my hospital stay and my maternity leave (cuz living in the same pair constantly is a little ick).
And yesterday, we finally bit the bullet and bought a fancy schmancy new camera to take fancy schmancy pictures of the little guy! I'm excited. I've been eyeing this camera for a couple of months, and it went on sale yesterday, so I jumped on it. It is basically a really good digital point and shoot that has a lot more manual options, which allows you to take better pictures. And it supposedly takes good video, which I'm sure is a feature we'll take full advantage of. Oh, and we also got our new land line installed so that we'll have a working phone in case of an emergency.
This week's goal: register for CPR classes and get our will drawn up. Notice how all of our tasks seem to involve spending money?
*What I'm looking forward to: I have another doctor's appointment on Friday, and from now on, I'll be going every two weeks for a little while (and then every week). Once you start going every two weeks, it really seems like you're in the home stretch. And, of course, my baby shower is in less than two weeks, so I'm really excited about that. :)
*Other random thoughts: We have a pediatrician! We met with a doctor who came highly recommended to us by Mike's boss, who has a little boy. She raves about him, we trust her opinion, and we both got a really great vibe from him and the office. Plus, he seems to be highly regarded as one of the top pediatricians in the Valley and happens to be just a 10-minute drive from home. He told us all about his practice and how the first few weeks will go. He or one of his partners will come to the hospital as soon as Ryan is born to check him out and get started on his well baby care, and they'll come back to visit every day that he stays in the hospital. It put me at ease to know that from the very beginning, we'll have someone on hand that we can call with any questions. When he was done explaining everything, he asked if we had any questions. And for once -- I didn't have any! He'd answered them all! Mike thought that was pretty impressive, since I always have a million questions, ha.

yay for a pediatrician!!
