25 weeks

*Baby is now ... 1.5 pounds!

All dressed up for Stacy and Justin's rehearsal dinner.

How I'm feeling: Overall, I still feel very good. I usually start to feel uncomfortable and restless at night, but I'm still moving around well, exercising and maintaining my normal routine. This weekend, Mike and I were in Wisconsin for our good friend Stacy's wedding! I was a bridesmaid in the wedding, and I managed to wear strappy heels all day with little problem and even danced a bit at the reception. I did have to sit down for a few minutes during the ceremony when I started to feel a little light-headed. But I sat while the bride and groom were lighting the unity candle and all attention was front and center, so I don't think it was too distracting.

*Physical differences from last week: I think I popped out even more while I was in Wisconsin, and Mike agrees. It seems like my stomach is growing straight out in front, but most people are still surprised to hear how far along I am and say I look like I'm on the small side for being 6 months pregnant. It doesn't feel to me like I'm on the small side, but I'm hoping that means I won't be super super huge in August/September.

*What's been on my mind: Getting organized. I've been playing catch up today with some baby laundry and and getting things organized and put away. We've recently received several more gifts of new clothes, sheets, blankets and other random baby items, so my goal is to get the nursery back in order today. I'll post an updated picture of the room soon.

*What I'm looking forward to: Another week of feeling the little guy getting stronger and moving around more and more! And our "babymoon" to San Diego in just a few weeks! It will be our last real vacation before he's born and probably our last chance to see a beach for a couple of years.

*Other random thoughts: I can't believe how this pregnancy is flying by. I've only got about 15 weeks to go (maybe, hopefully, a little less?).

  4. I believe that you should just plan a beach vacation - say, for next year - to a convenient location where *coughcough* there might be close friends who have all of the baby gear you might need. *ahem* That is all.

  5. Aw, I'd love to! But I think all of our vacation time next summer will be used for Erica's wedding (I accrue vaca time verrryyy slowly and I'll be starting over with zero days off after I go back to work). We're going to take a week off for the wedding and try to travel to Ohio, too, so my fam can see Ryan. Maybe in the fall we could come for a long weekend! We haven't been there in forEVER.
