Try to contain your jealousy.
We spent the morning moving the big furniture from the den (i.e., baby's room) to our lovely new storage unit, thanks to a U-Haul truck and a very helpful friend. We had a loveseat, a huge computer desk and a chair that just weren't going to fit in with the crib and dresser that will soon occupy the room.
All that's left in that room for now is an elliptical, a bookcase, a pile of stuff for Goodwill, some cords, and a cat (who is fervently missing her loveseat):
After moving the big stuff, we bought a bunch of storage containers and spent most of the rest of the day packing up stuff to stash away. And stash we did:
On Sunday, after taking a little break to squeeze in our last spring training game of the year, we took all of that stuff to the unit, which might soon start to feel like our home away from home. Once I tape up my Browns pennant, it'll be perfect.
Yes, the couch is stored on top of the desk. Yes, that is the only way all of our stuff would fit in the small space. And no, I have no idea how we had room for all of that stuff in our condo.
We've still got some more stuff that will be filling up the space that is left (two bookshelves, other assorted boxes). But we've got the brunt of it done, which is a big relief. Now it's time to get new flooring for the bedrooms! Yippee!!!
